Garage Conversion — Treatment Room, Church Crookham
Project Type
Photography
Date
May 2022
This project was a straightforward garage conversion in Church Crookham, turning a dark, unused space into a calm and welcoming treatment room. The aim was simple: create somewhere warm, clean and comfortable to work in without overcomplicating it.
Our client is a massage therapist who wanted to move away from renting space at a local therapy centre and instead use part of her home to create an environment that felt personal and settled yet seperate from the rest of the home. The focus was on atmosphere as much as function good light, clean lines, and a sense of quiet that helps people relax the moment they step inside.
The existing garage was stripped back and reworked to improve insulation, lighting and flow. Finishes were kept neutral and soft, allowing the space to feel calm and uncluttered, while still being practical and easy to maintain. Everything was designed to support how the room would actually be used, day in and day out.
Completed in just eight days, this was a small project by scale, but no less important. It now gives the client a space that supports her work, reduces overheads, and feels genuinely welcoming proof that thoughtful building isn’t about size or budget, but about understanding what a space needs to be.
